Fire at Foxton.
LARGE QUANTITY OF FLAX DESTROYED. (By Telegraph.) (Per Press Association.) Wellington, This day. A large shed near Foxton, containing nearly 700 bales of flax, has been burned down. The flax was ready for shipmtnt to for the Bowcbasa, oho of tf I Reduction Committee's vessels. The flax, which was the property of A. S. Patterson and Co., was valued at .£1,200, and was insured in two local offices.
