COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, of Pahnerston North, report as follows : On Friday last we had a clearing sale of Mr Calling's dairy cows. These being a good lot and mostly in full profit quickly commanded the attention of buyers, prices ranging from £o to £7 ss. At Palmerston a moderate number of cattle were yarded, anions them several pens of store steers and bullocks. Young cattle generally diiieient in quality were bard to sell. For bullocks the demand was quiet, and prices, though easier than last week were accepted by vendors.—3year old bullocks made £'i 3s : to 3years. £2 12s 61 to X'2 17s 6d ; 3%-year bullocks in fresh condition, j£3 19s ; fat sc-K-rs, f-i 6s : mixed yearlings 15s 6d ; weaners, 9s 6d to 12s; forward heifers, ,£"2 10s ; milch cows, i." I 10s to £i 15s ; fat wethers 8s ; ewes ami lambs, 6s 6d ; porkers, 18s : slips. 7s6d to lis.
