A Wages Dispute.
BEFORE THE CONCILIATION BOARD. / Per Press Association.) Auckland, This day. The Board of Conciliation met today. In the matter of the Seamen's Union application for increased wages the Northern S.S. Company and other shipowners unanimously declined to accept the award on the ground that their vessels were propelled by oil engines, and some other small steamers were not brought under the same regulations as the vessels cited.
