Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : Wind between north-east and north and west at all places. Barometer fall everywhere, with sea heavy on all the western coast alter 12 hours, and on the east coast south of Napier after 20 hours. Northerly gales with rain are to be expected at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth after from 10 to 20 hours.
