At a representative meeting last night nncler the auspices of the New Zealand Alliance it was resolved that this meeting learns with astonishment that it is the intention of the Government to limit the scope of the enquiry into the police question so as to exclude an investigation of the causes that have led up to the necessity for a Royal Commission being appointed, and urges the Government to reconsider its decision so as to cover the whole question of the organisation and administration for the past five years.
