The Dunedin Tragedy.

THE INQUEST. (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, This Day. The inquest on Mrs Clements was opened this morning. Constable Hickey said when Ross, the brother-in-law asked " What have you been doing Charley, have you killed her '? " Prisoner replied : " I have had plenty cause to do so." Later he told the constable that the woman had selfinflicted the injuries, but afterwards admitted that he stuck a knife in hia wife's throat, driving it in with a tomahawk. Prisoner, on his way to the pospital, alleged that his wife had been tampering with herself.
