Accidents and Fatalities.
[By Telegraph.] (Per Psess Association.) Christchurch, This day. Mabel SJ. Poore, aged 2i, was killed at Linwood last night. She was knocked down by a horse which, in attempting to jump over her, struck her on the head. Lyttelton, This day. Just after 1 o'clock Edward Harrington, a stevedore engaged in discharging the steamer Mataura, went aloft to fix on the derrick bead a guy which had carried away. By some means he lost hi"s footing and fell to the deck. He died a few minutes after being picked up. Auckland, This day. The Rev. G. B. Munroe had several ribs fractured by being thrown from his trap.
