Captain Edwin wired this afternoon :—■ Wind between north-west and west and south at all places. Barometer further rise everywhere. Strong southerly winds are to be expected at all places on the east coast between Ivaikoura and East Cape, with cold weather everywhere, and with frost in the South Island and on the high country m the North Island.
