The Sydney Presbytery examined Mr liutledge, the Wesleyan Minister who made the charges of drunkenness against a Presbyterian minister to the Rev. Mr Isitt. The inquiry was conducted with closed doors. Mr liutledge declined to make a statement in support of his allegations. He also declined to divulge the name or say whether the clergyman was within the jurisdiction of the Presbytery or not. The Presbytery regretted in consequence of Mr Rutledge's reticency it was unable to pursue the inquiry further.
