Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : Wind between- north and west and south.-west at all places northward of Thames and Manukau, and between south and east and north-east at all other places. Barometer rise everywhere. Moderate to strong southerly winds are probable in all parts of the country, and frost at most places southward of Taupo.
