A DETACHMENT OF TROOPS SCATTERED BY NATIVES. ( Per Pim Association.—L'<>/ujright.) Paris, August 18. A disaster has been sustained by French troops in Nigritia. A body of Turey Arabas, a tribe which holds the country south of Timbuctoo, east of the Niger, surprised a detachment of French at Dire on the Niger, scattering them and killing the commanding officer.
