Killed in a Mining Mill.

A SHOCKING ACCIDENT. (By Telegraph.) fPer Press Association.) Auckland, This day. A fatal accident is reported from the Waitekaari Company's battery. J. Woods, 16 years of age, was in charge of a department containing a Krupp Bell mill. He was apparently oiling the shaft when his coat got caught in the shaft. He was carried round with the shaft and shockingly mutilated. No one was present at the time. Woods had perhaps been dragged round for half an hour before he was discovered. Death must have been instantaneous. When the body was discovered it was almost beyond recognition.
