It is constructed all in one piece and of the finest crucible steel. In this way it is impossible to turn the hub down to small diameters and make it at once very light and very strong, with an absolute certainty that nothing will work loose. This piece is hardened in oil throughout, and drawn to the proper temper to insure toughness both to bearing surfaces and to sprocket teeth.
