Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : Wind between north-west and west and south at all places daring the next 10 hours, but changing after that time to between north-east and north and west at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth. Barometer further rise everywhere, but falling at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth after 10 hours. Strong southerly winds will be experienced on the east coast between Kaikoura and East Cape during the next 12 hours, but northerly gales are to be expected at all places "southward of Napier and New Plymouth after from 12 to 20 hours.
