Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : Wind between north and west and south-west at all places northward of Thames and Manukau, and between nort-east and north and west from thence southward to Napier and New Plymouth, and between north and east and south-east elsewhere. Barometer fall everywhere, but rising at all places northward of Thames and Manakau after 10 hours. Northerly gales with rain are to be expected at all places north of Napier, Taupo, and Raglan and easterly gales with rain from thence to Lyttelton and Hokitika, and strong easterly winds from thence southward.
