Accidents and Fatalities.

(Per Press Associoti'-ti.) DcxEorx, July 20. William Powell, aged G2, residing at Qaeenstown, died very suddenly last night. He went to bed complaining of not being well, and died a few minutes later. , Rebecca Ross, aged Hi, was found dead in bed at Bell's station, Waioemo, this morning.

An extraordinary shooting affair has occurred near Widnes. James Richard lace, of Ditton, went out to shoot birds. A man, named Thomas Adams, told him that he could not shoot him, not to mention birds, whereupon I nee deliberately fired at Adams. The bullet carried away a portion of Adams's scalp, and he now lies in a dangerous condition. Both men were in drink.
