Falsifying a Share Register.
[By Telegraph.] (Per Press Association) Auckland, This clay. W. E. Waters was charged at the Police Court to-day with falsifying the share register of the Fiery Cross Gold Mining Company. The solicitor for the Company stated that the share register had been increased by eight thousand shares, and that he would proceed with the first charge, which involved three thousand shares. On a certain page of the register under the heading "W. R. Waters, in trust" there appeared to the credit of Waters thi'ee thousand shares. Evidence would be given to prove these were bogus shares. Evidence iv.i« givon i,-; .support of these allegations by Mr Hull, the legal Manager appointed to fill the vacancy caused by Waters's resignation. The case is proceeding.
