Mr Graham and the Jubilee.
.. AN F.XL'LAN"ATION. THE OYJER ZEALOUS PRESS AGEN T AGAIN. [By Tklkcuaph. . [Per Press Association.) Wellington, This day. Mr Graham, M.H.R., has communicated with the manager of the Press AsS*pi?.tion respecting the telegrams from Nelson on June 29ch alluding to his absence during the Jubilee festivities, and stating that the reason alleged was that he declined to give precedence to any one in such functions. Mr Graham says there is no truth whatever in the statement, and such a thought never entered bis bead. The reason of his absence was that he was called away from Nelson six weeks before the Jubilee. Mr Giaham asks that as the original telegram has been commented on to his disadvantage this explanation should in fairness be made public.
