In the House of Commons Mr Broderick read a letter from the Commanders of the colonial troops, denying that they were displeased with the treatment the troops had received from the British military authorities. The latter stated that the plans for the comfort of the troops reflected the greatest credit on the military department. Mr Broderick assured the House that every effort had been made to render the stay of the colonial troops agreeable.
