A BOOKMAKERS DISPUTE.

AN APPEAL TO BE MADE. (Ptv Preus Association.—Qnpyriyht.) Sydney, May 21. Consternation has been caused in sporting circles at the decision of the Full Court with regard to cash betting. Some time ago a number of bookmakers were fined for betting in the saddling paddock at Ramlwick, and a test appeal case was taken to the Full Court. The Chief Justice in delivering judgment said it was essential the law should be uniform with ihatof England, and the Australian Courts ought to follow the decision of the English Courts with regard to cash betting. The other Judges concurred, and the appeal was dismissed. This day. It is intended to appeal to the Privy Council against the betting decision.
