TENDERS FOR LEASING. mHE PUBLIC TRUSTEE invites 1 separate tenders for a2l years' lease, with right of perpetual renewal, under the provisions of " The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894," and the regulations thereunder of (1) Section 74, township of Hastings, containing 1 rood ; and (2) Sections 89, 90, 91, and 92, township of Hastings, containing 1 acre, with dwelling erected thereon. The upset rental for Section 74 is fixed at £5 per annum, and for Sections 89, 90, and 91 and 92, £ls per annum. Regulations for leasing, and printed forms of tender, can be obtained from the Postmaster at Hastings, or from E. P. Watkis, Esq., District Agent for the Public Trustee, Napier. THE Annual Meeting of Householders for the Election of a School Committee, which was to have been held on Monday, the twenty-sixth day of April, 1897, at the Schoolhouse in the undermentioned schools, having lapsed through the respective Householders having failed to elect a School Committee on the 26 ch day of April, 1897, it is hereby notified in accordance with the 14th section of" The School Committees Election Act, 1891," that the Board of the Education District of Hawke's Bay has appointed 7 o'clock in the evening on SATURDAY, the sth day of June, 1897, as the time for the Nomination and election respectively of Committees for such undermentioned Schools, and has also appointed the Schoolhouse in each District as the place of meeting of Householders. The number to be elected to each Committee mentioned in the First Schedule hereto is Seven, in those mentioned in the Second Schedule Five. The Householders within the several school districts are hereby called upon to : e id in writing fo the respective Chairmen of the several School Committees, on or before the 31st rtay of May, 1897, by post or delivered, so as to be delivered not later than 8 o'clock in the evening, the names of persons being Resident Householders nominated by them for election to serve upon the Committee for the next yeaf ensuing, and after the meeting o Householders the Committee elected shall hold its first meeting, and thereat elect one of its number to be Chairman for the year.
