(Before Mr S. Turnbull, S.M.) At the S.M. Court this morning the following civil cases w T ere disposed of : Judgment for plaintiffs with costs were given in the cases Warren (Lewis) v. Tongi, £2 Ids 7d ; Symonds (Lewis) v. A. E. Adams, £1 16s lid; E. M. Moore (Lewis) v. Tinui, 15s 3d; Stubbs (Lewis) v. Rangi Manana, 19s; DMcLeod (White) v. Hotene Te Ruri, £8 lis; J. Garnett (Scannell) v. Rewi Penetikee, £1 lis 3d; J. Garnett (Scannell) v. Tangata Kei, £5 13s 7d ; R. Fox (Scannell) v. Tangata Kei, £9 16s 2d; Blythe v. Morehu Te Huia, £3 2s 6d. Judgment summonses were dealt with as follows : Maddison and Co. (Lewis) v. Te Renata, £2 19s 10s. Ordered to pay forthwith or seven days' imprisonment. Maddison and Co. (Lewis) v. John Hapuka, £2B 8s 6d ; ordered to pay forthwith or three months in goal. S. Ridgway (Le*yis) v. Tinui, £3 9s; pay forthwith or seven days. Same v. Paul Pahi, £2 4s 3d; suspended for fourteen days, after which seven days' gaol. A. L. D. Fraser (White) v. Hori Here Here, £ll ss; forthwith or fourteen days' gaol. In the defended case, J. Garnett (Lewis) v. J. Hickey (Lee), claim £2 lis lid, after hearing evidence his Worship gave judgment for plaintiff with costs. WIFE DESEKTION". Andrew Anderson was brought up charged with wife desertion. Mr Lewis -appeared for plaintiff and Mr Lee for defendant. The information was laid under the Destitute Persons Act. After hearing evidence the Bench dismissed the information, defendant to report himself to the Court every week for a month.
