The Consul received offers from a number of Englishmen to proceed to the front, but, excepting the case of a voting 1 idy, whoso services as an hospital nurse were accepted, the offers were declined. The Consul explains the Greeks are more in want of money than men. Thousands of volunteers are available •within twenty-four hours, bat the difficulty is to obtain funds to equip them. The Greeks in Sydney subscribed over £2OO.
