THE BAND CONTEST.
SYDNEY SCOOPS THE POOL. (Per Press Association. —Copyriyht.) Melbourne, This Day. In the Druids' band contest the first three prizes were won by Sydney bands viz., Railway Military, 92 points, 1 ; Newtown, 88, 2 ; Glebe, 86, 3. The Invercargill (N.Z.) band was fourth, 84 points, aud wins a £lO prize. The judges were in an adjoining room and were ignorant of the names of the bauds playing.
