A Send-off to Sir John Hall.
[By Tklegraph.] ( Per i 'ty.s.s Association.) Chktstchitkch, This day. The Canterbury A. ami P. Association held a meeting to-day at which they wished their patron, Sir John Hall and Lady Hall, a safo journey to England and a quick return renewed in health.
Sir John, in reply, referred to tho kindly courteousnes.s and co-operation of his colleagues, and the pleasure ho found in working for the association, which he suggested in its work and constitution set a good example to the advocates of non-party Government, Elective Executive, and Referendum. He suggested also that the association .should enlarge its scope by reading papers and making experiments which would he of benefit to the farming community, and for the advantage of farnurs throughout the colony ho suggested that tho Agricultural and Pastoral Conference should entertain the question of establishing a central national urbanisation, in order to place the greatest Midusti \ f (I colony on an equal footing wi 1 » industries, and to collect and disseminate useful in form at ion.
