The Petone Murder Case.
BOSHER FOUND GUILTY. SENTENCED TO DEATH. (By Telegraph.) Per IV> Assoriatioii.) Wellington, March 28. Judge Edwards occupied four hours in summing up, and the jury retired at 6 p.m. to consider their verdict. The jury fehiriud after 11 o'clock with a veflifct of guiity, and sentence of death was pronounced in the usual way. The court was crowded though the hour was late. Bosher received the sentence very calmlv.
When asked if he had .anything to say, he said that before he was arrested several witnesses had come to him and told him if the police arrested him they would see him through, but they had betrayed him, and he left them to their consciences. This day.
It will be remembered that on the bodies of the Jones' a large quantity of pepper was found. In connection with this Mr 8011, Crown Prosecutor, after the jury had delivered their verdict, and bef- r • they left the box, said he would like to tell the jury of one fact which would lighten their minds. A tin of pepper had been bought from the Jones' by the man who had just been sentenced, as an entry in -Tones' book had shown, and that was evidently the tin which had been found on the table, as it could not be found in Bosher's house.
