Probasco's Circus.
The circus tent last night was inconveniently crowded on one side and comfortably filled on the other with a delighted and enthusiastic audience whose hearty applause was the hall mark of the merit of the performance. The Australian Nuggets sustained the good name they secured for themselves on the initial night. M. Probascohas a world-wide reputation for his handling of horses, upon which subject hehas written a most instructive book, and certainly the pitch of perfection to which he has brought the animals under his charge prove him to be a past master in his art. The trapeze exhibition by Miss Emery was not alone one of the most difficult but it was also one of the most graceful aerial performances that could be witnessed. The other ladies of the show went through some daring bare back riding. Miss Emery as a contortionist can hold h<#r own with any one in her line, and the manner in which she entangled her body in five hoops and released herself was marvellous. Even if <<he did not keep a full tumbler of water on her head during the act it was wonderful, but, as she did do thi-= the performance was trebly difficult. The ciownc? kept things moving through the show and caused considerable amusement.
