It is practically settled (the Pall Mall Gazette says) that the Emperor and Empress of Russia are to be represented at the Court Fetes of next ■June by the Grand Duke Serge and the Grand Duchess Elizabeth, who came to London on the part of the Court of St. Petersburg for the Jubilee celebration in 1887. The Archduke Joseph and the Archduchess Clotilde (the parents of the Duchesss d'Orleans) are to represent the Court of Vienna. The Prince and Princess of Naples will come from Italy, and the Court of Berlin will be represented by either Prince and Princess Albert of Prussia, or Prince and Princess Frederick Leopold. Prince and Princess lienry of Prussia will come to England unoilicially on a visit to the Queen. Norwich has decided to celebrate the year by the erection of a new Jenny Lind institution for sick children, to take the places of that established by the great singer many years ago. Lord Leicester, Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk, headed the list of subscriptions with a donation of i'2ooo. From many provincial centres reports showing similar activities are to hand. Mr Ernest T. llooley, of llisley llall, near Derby, has set aside i' 15,000 per annum for the relief of the very aged poor, the infirm, and widows in his district. A town of 10,000 inhabitants will be allotted I'IOOO per annum, a village of .HOOO souls will get i'.SOO a year, and sj on in due proportion. Mr llooley has formed local committees, composed of influential persons of all classes, sects, and polities, by whom the fund will be administered.
