The Cinematographe.
Mr J. F. MacMahon, his staff, and the wonderful machiue arrived by this morning's train from Napier, and will open to-night at the Princess Theatre, when it is safe to predict a hearty welcome from an audience that should pack the Theatre. This is undeniably the best thing in the way of amusement that has ever been witnessed in Hastings. The following are some of the selections of the programme San don, the strong man, Fencing bout (between two French ladies), execution of Mary Queen of Scots, burlesque Highlanders, lire scene (rescue), Italian duel, Negro breakdown, back light, Japanese fan dance, bathing in the surf, the Gaiety girls, wrestling dog, burning of -Joan of Arc, Trilby burlesque, street scene, Broadway (New York), barber's shop, Egyptian Mure I" dance (by an Egyptian princess), blacksmith's forge, serpentine dance by Miss St Cyr, the famous English danseu.se (with limelight effects), lady ritle shot, train entering Waterloo station (London), military march, Chinese laundry. The doors open at 7. i•">, and we would advise intending patrons to make early provision for their sea's.
