The Hon. -T. This inornin- Mr Carroll arrived at Invercargill, where he was interviewed by the Mayor and Councillor* and other citizens relative to opening up the country towards Preservation Inlet, promising to lay the matter before the Minister of Lands immediate-! v he re-turned to Wellington. He expressed himself highly impressed with tlxe prospects of the district. Mr Carroll visit- Otago Centra! before returning North.
