(By Telegraph.) (l\>r Press Association.) Pukiki, This day. Serious complaints have been made by the claim owners of the Coromandel Peninsula regarding the surveys from Waihi to Cape Colville. It appears the work done was not close. Lawrence Cussens, staff surveyor, Coromandel, in investigating rinds the determination surveys is as much as twenty links out from the Mount Eden Government trig station. The mining department is investigating the complications in the Wardens Court.

Railway carriages were derailed at Ngahauranga this morning through the mis-adjustment of points. No harm was done beyond fright to passengers.

The heavy Hoods on Saturday and Sunday swept the Otiwere bridge away, near Tokaano, but the river is now fordable. Mail and t-o.iri.sts tralilie is not interferred with. Other unbridged rivers quickly subsided and washouts were -quickly repaired.

In the Supreme Court to-day, -Joseph Henry Thomas, for stealing timber, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment; Henry Withell, for breaking and entering, was placed on probation for three months
