SPORTING NEWS.
Young Jones, who was injured a Woodville when riding Apl ony, returned to Hastings by the express on Saturday, looking very little the worse for his accident. None of the Hon. J. P. Ormond's liorses will be competitors at the Taranaki Jockey Club's meeting. The Eissington races take place next Saturday.
The Wairoa races are postponed till Thursday and Friday.
Flaneur has quite recovered from the effects of his fall in Wellington, and is being prepared by W. Jones for Hawke's Bay engagements.
