The butter now coming forward for shipment to London is in excellent condition. Formerly , the prominent fault was too much moisture ; now this is almost wholly eradicated by the system of grading established by the Government.

She has been missing two days. There will be an inquest this afternoon. A fireman, named Jeremiah Poole, employed on the steamer Kanieri, had his tiSp broken in two places on Sunday at Waitara, while assisting to load wool for the Kaikoura.
