The dastardly act of stabbing horses is the latest from Christchurch, and three cases have already been reported. At Christchurch on Monday burglars succeeded in lifting £SO boelnging Mr W. Bowman, auctioneer, Hereford-street. A spark from a bush fire destroyed the residence of Mr T. Gore, at Parkville, near Eketahuna, on Sunday. The insurances are .£IOO in the North German office, and £SO in the Is ew Zealand. A remarkable record of grass-seed cutting has taken place at Mr H. L. Donnelly's Cricklewood station, Wairoa, according to the Guardian.
