McCardle, who was a candidate for the Pahiatua seat, was last night presented with a purse of soys. and Mrs MeCardle wuh_~»-«Uver tea service. (.m8 borne, This day. Mr F. A. Tiffen's homestead, at Puhatikotiko, has been destroyed by fire. Nothing was saved. The building was insured in the Standard Office for £250, and the furniture for £125 in the same office. Mr Tiffen estimates his loss at £l-30 above the insurance.
