In the r'-.i.s lnorning an application wis made for a writ of attachment of the bankrupt John Scott Myers, who refused to give up possession of certain property sold under order of the Court. The Official Assignee said he had received the key at 10 o'clock this morning. j 11 is Honor, after referring to the facts of the case,said tiit? bankrupt had d lied and insulted the Court hy ref.i -ill_r to obey the law. lie, His Honor, must show bankrupt and others like him that they could not defy the law of the country with impunity. The bankrupt would be adjudged trinity of contempt, and sentenced to sewn days' imprisonment therefore, and also pay £-1 5s costs.
