In the Legislative Council, when the division was taken on the third reading of the Colored Labor Bill, the voting was equal. The Presidentgave his casting vote against the Bill. In the Licensed Victuallers' Bill, the provision enabling local option in a district to prohibit the sale of liquor within its boundaries was re-inserted, and the Bill passed.
