Results of the General Election.
DISPLAY BY THE " STANDARD." In keeping with the onward march of progression, the proprietors of the Hastings Standard have arranged, at considerable expense, to supply the large assemblage of interested persons, who will make Hasting the rriidfzroHx on Friday night, with the election returns, not only for Hawke's Bay, but for the whole colony. Each return as it arrives will bo posted up on a large board overhanging the verandah of the Standard office in Karamau Road. The illumination will be thrown from Messrs Webster and Stuart's side balcony by Mr Tyerman's powerful lime light lamp. The local returns will be shown in tabulated form on a separate board immediately on their arrival at head quarters. The returns from electorates beyond the district will commence to arrive about 8 p.m, and will continue till after midnight-.
