A DESPERATE CASE. Mklboi kni;, Nov. 19. Quinn, who shot his wife and attempted suicide, is in a precarious state. Both *ere assistants at the Ararat asylum bnt their services were dispensed with. Mrs Quinu's- first husband is believed to be alive. She represented herself as a spinster but subsequently confessed that she was a married woman. Quinn was much troubled, and the knowledge of this preyed on the woman's mind. They had no money", and failure to obtain work a Ided to despondency so they decide 1 to die 'together and end their misery. ,
