THE WOOL SALES.
THE SERIES CLOSES FIRM,
London, Oct. 17,
The chief feature of the wool market has been the unwavering briskness of Home buyers, but the inactivity of Continental and buyers has induced irregular prices. Victorian and New South Wales superior clothing and good scoured wools realised July rates. Riverina and Adelaide greasy sorts shows a slight decline. New Zealand faulty and greasy merinos fell from 5 to 10 per cent. Crossbreds improved on last week's prices, and the series closed firm.
