Samuel Stone, jnr, farmer, Ohaka, was killed at the Kaiapoi Kailway station this morning through his horses swerving round, throwing him between the dray and the building. Wellington, This day.
Captain Lang, drowned in the corvette Narcissis, is a brother of the member for Waipa. In the S.M. Court, Lopez S. Wilks, late house steward of the Wellington Hospital, was charged with embezzlement of moneys of that institution. The case is still proceeding. New Plymouth, This day.
The Supreme Court was opened this morning by Judge Connolly. The calendar includes twelve criminal and civil, and three divorce cases.
