IN connection with the above events the Railway Department is issuing Specially Cheap Excursion Tickets to Napier and Hastings, at Return Fares of 2d per mile first class, and Id per mile second class (minimum 4s and 2s respectively), from all stations on the NapierTaranaki Section except those from which the Ordinary Fare is less than the minimum named. Mileage counted one way only. The journey must be started on the day of the purchase of the ticket, and may b<s broken after the first twenty-five miles. From Stations South of Dannevirke these Tickets will be obtainable on 2nd, 3rd, sth, 6tli, 7th, and Bth October, and from Stations North of Dannevirke, inclusive (except Paki Paki to Hastings), on sth, 6th, Bth, and 9th October. These Tickets are available for return up to and including Saturday, 17th October, 1896, From Stations between Waipukurau and Paki Paki, inclusive, similar tickets will be issued to Napier only on 13th and 14th October, available for return up to and including Monday, 19th October, 1896.
