Fine weather is promised for the opening of the local racing season to-morrow by the Auckland Racing Club. St. Paul and Levanter is the favorite double for the Spring Handicap and Steeplechase. Waiuku is in splendid condition. WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. The Wellington Racing Club has reappointed Messrs Messrs Evett and Piper handicapper and starter respectively for the season. For the summer meeting the club will give £355 more in stakes than last year, and a four furlong race for two and three-year-olds is to be included. The Cup of 500 sovs, and B.C. Handicap of 250 sos, are the chief events. HAWKE'S BAY JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING MEETING. The following handicaps have been declared for the above meeting :
