[From Our Own Correspondent.] Natiee, September 10. The first civil case on the list at the Supreme Court, F. "Wilson and Co. v. H. E. Grainger was partly heard yesterday. The claim is for £431 13s 9d for goods sold and delivered and cash advanced. At St. Paul's Church yesterday afternoon Mr Elgar Elliott of Victoria Block, Woodville, was married to Miss Maud Watt, third daughter of Mr Thomas Watt, an old Napier resident. The bridesmaids were the Misses E. Bishop, E. Watt, and C. Millsen, and, Mr Waiter Elliott was the best man.. The somewhat complicated affairs of Mr John Couper, a Wairoa bankrupt, were partly unravelled at the Bankruptcy Court yesterday morning, but I don't think details of the proceedings would be of any interest to your readers. At a meeting of the Eugby Union last night it was decided to send a rep. team to Gisborne next Tuesday by the Southern Cross, to play on Wednesday and return the same evening by the Waihora. Owing to tbe misunderstanding between file local shopkeepers arid the Rugby Union the majority of the places ef business were closed yesterday and will consequently remain open this afternoon notwithstanding the attraction which football possesses fop many employees. There were over 100 couples pre; sent at the Hibernian social in aid of the funds, of the Catholic church held in the Gaiety Theatre yesterday, and &e cash results we iifcely fcobe goli^. ■ - ' {*2
