THE POLAR EXPEDITION.
KANSEN INTENDS MAKING ANOTHER ATTEMPT. London, August 20. Dr. Nansen stages that lie will not repeat the experiment of trying to drift across the Pole. His experience on the last expedition shows him it will be easier to accomplish the journey in sledges from Franz Josef Land. The Times suggests that Norway, England, and Australia should subsidise an Antarctic expedition to be commanded by Nansen. I)r Nansen's vessel, the Fram, has arrived at Fromsoe, the most northern province of Norway.
