Sunday Trading.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —We are generally given to understand thai the hotels of this town are conducted strictly according to the licensing Act, but I think there must be an exception somewhere. Sunday night about half-past 0 o'clock I met affbung man in an almost helpless BMP of intoxication, and using the most filthy language one could listen to. Now, Sir, I think it will be readily admitted that this man had been having what some call a " jolly time" in one or other of the houses. To my mind it seems most disgraceful that men should Ik seen rolling about the streets in a state of drunkenness on a Sunday. I think it is time the police were aroused to a sense of their duty. If they wished to keep the hotels up to the mark they sfaonld pay a friendly visit occasionally on Sundays. I might say that this is not the first time this Mud of thing bas bees seen in Hastings.—l am, &c.,
