Abel played brilliantly, and never gave a chance. Included in his score was nine 4's. M'Kibbin was in great form with the ball, and captured two wickets with consecutive balls. July 28. The weather was fine and the attendance large at the Oval to-day. The Australians were in a bad way and lost four wickets for very little result in the way of runs. Gregory and Darling, however, made a stand.
