RICCARTON RUSSELL IN • TROUBLE. [By Telegraph.] t /'V'<».7 f>ur Sjitcifil i ) Weli.inctox, This Day. Already there are signs of dissension in the ranks of the Independent Liberal Party and Riccarton Russell, who aspired to the leadership, has been deposed and practically sent to Coventry. This step is taken because Mr Russell is supplying information to the Lyttelton Times concerning a matter which the meeting refused to entertain. The talk in the lobbies this morning was confined to chaft at the expense of Riccerton Russell, the would-be leader of the Independent Liberal Party, and the fact of those- associated with him having turned him adrift was mode the most of by the staunch Ministerialists.
