Pollard's Opera Company.

Jt is now some fifteen mouths since Mr Pollard's clever young people wen- last seen lere. In that time they have travelled much, ami have evidently learned a. lot. as the cities of Wellington. Auckland, Cht istchurch, and Punedin were unanimous in praising the wonderful all-round improvement shown. At the present time this company takes rank with any theatrical combination touring the eolonks. The arrangements for the season unpublished elsewhere, and the bill of fare offered should please the most fastidious. The season will commence on Monday night, and will be for six nights. The initial production will be Plain;uotle "s celebrated comic opera, '■ Paul -Tone-;."' of which we have heard such favourable accounts. On Tuesday "The Gondoliers" will be staged, and on Wednesday Mr Pollard will show the versatility of his company by producing the great moral and religious drama. '■ Uncle Tom's ("al iin." On Thursday Leeocfs evergreen work, "" Girofle-Girofla will be the attraction, and on Friday •• Pan! Jones *" will he repeated for the benefit of country visitors. The season will terminate on Saturday with Rucalossi's charming comic opera, " The Rlaek Cloaks." The box plan will be opened to-morrow morning at 10 o'clock, at Mr 11. H. Hunt's. The prices are li\ed at Is. 2s (id, and Is. The management are issuing packets of six reserved-seat tickets, transferable and available for any night, for one guinea. Only a limited number of these tickets will he issued, so that earlv application is advisable. Mr Pollard is famed for the manner in which he stages his operas, and for the coming season we are promised something even better than he has given us in the past.
