Supreme Court Sittings.

Wellington, this day. At the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court yesterday, Annie Brown, for performing an illegal operation, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. illiam Mc-Phee, for stealing a bicycle, was remanded for sentence. Alfred Ross and Thomas Somers, forgery and uttering, were also remanded for sentence. Richard Harward was found '• not guilty " on a charge of theft. Cukistuhuucii, this day. The Supreme Court criminal sittings opened yesterday. Frederick Cooper, forgery and uttering, was sentenced to four years' imprisonment. -John Ilaughton, breaking and entering, also received four years. Edward Pearce, stealing a bicycle, was remanded for the report of the Probation Otncer. James Pearson got four years for breaking and entering. Henry Barrett Rose, house-breaking and robbery, was sentenced to 1H months, and Robert Meevoe, for a similar offence, to nine months. John Hurley received twelve months, and George Taylor three months, for breaking and entering. Di'nedin, this day. At the Supreme Court sittings yesterday. J. S. Johnston received fifteen months on two charges of forgery. Michael Cato, three months, for obtaining jewellery under false pretences ; John Home, stealing from the person, 18 months : "ft illiam \ atto and George Lunney. breaking into a dwelling, two years; James Bent, breaking into a shop, two years; Arthur Allan, for wilfully breaking a window, three months ; . Watt and George Burman, house-breaking and theft, two years each ; Thomas McNamara, breaking into a warehouse, twelve months.
